Whew, that was a lot of work, but so much fun! I'm so glad that we had a party. It was like a normal adult party with a ton of kids running around. It was a blast, and the last guests didn't leave until after 11pm. (I had already gone to bed, they're our friends, they don't care) Anyways, here's a couple of pictures. The family has gone back home, so now I can bump more!
p.s. suggestions of those who haven't done their party yet. I LOVED having everything made ahead of time, it made things so much easier. Also take pictures of your decorations! This dingdong didn't. Grr! Of course, make extra food. We had 7 people who came that didn't RSVP. Oh well, we had enough food to feed an army.
Birthday dinner of spaghetti and meatballs
First time seeing his cake
After a while, playing with the trucks on the main cake was more fun than playing with the cake. This boy has a love affair with all things truck

Aw I love the last picture.. so cute! Looks like he enjoyed the cake and the trucks lol.
Thanks for the advice about the food.. MH is "catering" L's party so he plans to make everything the day before and just heat it up the day of... I can see how overwhelming it would be if you had to make all the food that day while worrying about setting up for the party.. talk about a headache!
You could always hang up the decorations again and take pictures of them. I'm sure C would never know they weren't taken at his party haha
