At 9 month appointment pedi said that when I can no longer keep up with LO's demand, I can now move to cow's milk in a sippy (cut out the need to elminate the bottle). She's now 10 months and I think that day has come. Any suggestions on how to introduce? Has anyone else gone this route? I'm nervous!
Re: Moving from EBF to cow's milk at 10 months
I agree with this. Our Pedi advised that we could introduce WCM at 11 months, but 10 months seems too early to me imo.
Sorry but this made me laugh My pedi says not until 12 months and I am in Canada.
I'm in Canada. LO gets 3 solid meals per day as well as snacks and pedi had me switch to 50/50 bf & wcm.
However, LO would not take a bottle or formula. He'll only take wcm from a sippy cup.
This what our Pedi said. She told us to try and keep LO drinking some formula as long as possible (until 1st birthday) but that as long as he was getting enough meats and other highly nutritious foods that he should be fine. Now DS gets WCM in his cups but is still drinking about 3 bottles of formula a day. (He refuses formula in his sippy cup)
