Heat rash

So like last week I noticed a fine rash on LO back. I thought nothing of it bc all of our kids had super dry skin as babies. Well a few days ago DH mentioned there were bumps on his legs. Well as of yesterday he is covered in a fine raised red splotchy rash. I googled and it looks like heat rash. Anyone know how to help it? I called pedi yesterday but they didn't call back and we're having a problem with him being added to our ins. So as of now he's not covered. He's been fussy so I think it's bothering him. Sorry it's so long!
