Ehh, not the best article. The sound level of your voice must rise at times and I challenge anyone who says they have never raised their voice to their child. This article makes it seem like there are always explatives involved or putting down of the child. It isn't easy being a parent and no one is perfect. I yelled at DS yesterday for pushing his sister again and again. I sat him down and told him to chill down for a moment. He got his moment, I got my chill down moment. Then we hugged and talked about why he was frustrated with her (taking "his" toy) and why I was frustrated (trying to keep everyone safe and he kept pushing). I think he'll be just fine.
