I have been researching CD detergent for what seems like months and I am still not able to pick. Baby is due in about 5 weeks and I HAVE to start prepping all the newborn diapers.
I've read mixed reviews on just about every brand and was leaning towards Country Save. But, now I'm seeing a lot of users have had issues with build-up or repelling. The one consistent choice seems to be Tide, but it gets an "F" rating on the EWG for safety and I am just don't want to use something so laden with fragrance, chemicals, etc. My husband and I both have sensitive skin and use Whole Foods 2x concentrated unscented detergent. Can I use this on CDs as well? Anything else out there that is safe AND effective? For what it's worth we have a Top Load HE washer.
Any help is appreciated! Thanks : )
Re: Help! Recommend safe and effective CD detergent
I use Norwex's Ultra Power Plus. It is an amazing product for washing all of your laundry. For HE washers you can use 1/2 tsp for a full load of laundry. I have a top loading but my sister has a front loader and she said she uses a full tsp per load of diapers just tob e safe, it works better than anything else we've tried. I wouldn't use tide or anything else with a lot of perfume if I could avoid it. The chemicals in those soaps can be so mean to baby skin.
