Switching to private therapy

DS has been receiving ST for almost 2 years, first through EI and now with the school system. He goes 2x a week for 30 minutes in a group setting with about 4 other kids. Honestly, we haven't been thrilled with it, but it was the only option we had.

He was giving a Rx for private therapy and we had the initial evaluation today. They are going to do 30 minutes a week of private therapy. Our insurance covers everything, and I'm under the impression that because of his documented hearing loss, there is no cut off to the amount of session a year. He will also be doing OT at this same facility.

Now, because of scheduling, Monday and Wednesday mornings are the only days we can take him. So it's either private or the school system. I would prefer private. We are also hoping to have DD recieve ST services there as well, so it makes sense to have everything in one location. How do you get out of the IEP?
