Sick of the FB election ridiculousness!!

Seriously. As if all of the posts, shares, etc. weren't bad enough now my friends are calling each other out! Seriously, they're tagging each other in posts and starting arguments!

One today, "-person's tagged name here- Remember that you are a child of GOD, and that while GOD loves all people, all people don't love GOD! Obama is a Muslim! If you really vote for him you're condemning this country to the control of terrorists!!! Give this country back to GOD and vote for ROMNEY!!!"

What. The. Heck. Political associations aside, this is just asinine.

This is where I want to apply for "facebook moderator of the universe" so I can take down ridiculous billsnit like this.

I'm all for standing up for what you believe in. If someone chooses to vote for the other guy, that's their right and their responsibility. But the minute that person starts posting any kind of aggressive political propaganda, trash talk, or general insults, they are blocked from my feed until after Christmas. It's not worth it to me to have my blood pressure so high every time I check in with my otherwise normal friends.

I'm tired of seeing the paid advertisements from Obama. I haven't seen any from Romney, but those would get on my nerves too. People's dumb political opinions are enough.

I have many people hidden.  It astounds me what some believe not only believe, but regurgitate as fact on both sides.

That URL has a filter you can put on your facebook to remove political (or other) posts depending on keywords you enter.   It works, I've tried it.

Oh yes.  We baptized my son Catholic.  We are both admittingly lapsed Catholics.  We did it because he now has a connection to a church and because our parents would have nagged us to death if we hadn't. 

Anyway I mentioned how dissappointed I was in Obama during the debate. I wanted to see if he'd lay the smack down since he's such a great orator.  And someone chimed in about how I'm Catholic and how on earth could I ever vote for a Muslim.  I couldn't unfriend fast enough.

Say what you will about the man he's done plenty of things some could consider worse than just being a muslim.
