Every time I write that, I want to say, "Live from Progressive...." like I'm announcing something. I watch too much tv.
What's your dream job? If you're lucky enough to have your dream job, is it what you always thought you'd end up being?
Tell me one thing your grandparents or parents if they're older/your grandparents have passed do that's "old school." Or something they refuse how to learn how to do. Baby related or not!

SCANDAL!
Re: LNCI
My grandma uses vinegar to clean. Straight vinegar. To this day, I cannot eat anything with a vinegarette or any hint of vinegar on it. Just reminds me of cleaning her house...gross.
SCANDAL!
My dad was born in 1938. He has a cell phone... it's about 8 years old, turned off, and in the trunk of his car. All the time.

Proud Mama to cleft cutie
Speaking of vinegar, my gramps takes a swig of apple cidar vinegar everyday. My father does the same thing from watching him do it. Apparently it keeps sickness away. No thank you no vinegar drinking for me.
That is all. I'm too tired for lnci questions. I suck.
Poop. Anal. Crack. And other stuff. Ugh
Ummm... I think we have the same lifem. Well, at least the dream job and old dad thing.
I also danced my whole life until I graduated college and was kind of obsessed with becoming a professional dancer. I either wanted to be a Cowboys cheerleader or a Rockette LOL. Now, I'd just really like to either be an international food/wine critic or own a small local pub with DH and be the bartender.
My dad puts white vinegar on every wound he's ever had. He'll do this regardless of how bad the wound is foor two days before calling the doctor! He's a diabetic, so we try to be extra careful since he's prone to infections, but the mand won't listen.

My grandmothee has a cell phone, but won't program un numbers. She carries an index card with them all written down. Also, when she hangs up she has to hold the button down until the phone shuts off. Then she turns it back on.
I feel you sister...i have a degree, certification, and license in a different state to be a Neonatal Nurse Practitiner, but no job :
Really my dream job would be a stay at home mom and then when my kids go to school I would become wildly successful doing something crafty like baking cakes or card making.
My mom can't use a computer to save her life, and she's not even that old..60! We've shown her dozens of times, but besides turning it on, she can't figure anything out, not even how to get on the Internet. She was never interested in computers we had a commodore 64 when they first came out and now that I'm so far away she's kicking herself because it's my main form of communication. She's So far below the learning curve now, I doubt she'll ever catch up!
Eta: sorry tb mobile ate my punctuation!
Secondly I'd like to be a caregiver at a rehab hospital for kids for inpatient. I've worked at one before and I loved it. But the employees didn't have support from the uppers. I'd only do it again if we had a voice. And got paid appropriately.
And thirdly, my grandparents refuse to accept that we have had kids unmarried. It's sat of understandable being Catholic but we have not talked all year since we announced Addy at Xmas.
Ballet dancer. I danced my whole life and even went to a Performing Arts college. After I graduated from college, I moved to NYC but was so burned out I left after a year. Shortly after I moved back, my Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and died 11 months later. I never danced again. It was my life for 20 years and I just stopped. So really, if I could do anything in the world, I'd be dancing with The Joffrey Ballet.
As for "old school" grandparent things, my Nana is pretty hip. I honestly can't think of anything she does that is old school. In fact, she bought me my Moby which I thought was awesome. It's not exactly what I pictured my 87 year old Nana to pick but she thought it was the coolest thing ever. She's the best!
The one thing that took my parents forever to catch on was debit cards. They really started being used my freshman year of college and it wasn't for years later that I convinced them to stop carrying so much cash around. My Mom used to always go to the bank on Fridays and take out the cash for the week. Hilarious.
Oh, and my Mom cleaned everything with vinegar too like PP said. I sometimes do it too...always reminds me of Easter egg dyeing! Lol
Married 6/28/08, TTC 7/10, BFP 11/30/11! Charlotte Rose born on 8/4/12! TFAS 8/13, BFP 10/14/13! Lori Anne Catherine born on 6/13/14!
My grandparents Wash plastic utensils. Other than that my grandma emails, facebooks and skypes!
Speaking of grandparents my Pepere was just diagnosed with 2 different types of cancer. Bladder and prostate. Tp please :
My parents are young; dad is 51, mom 50. They don't want to learn how use the moby wrap which I don't blame them for.
My parents are pretty good at keeping up with the world...my inlaws aren't!! They refuse to buy anything online! Or use an ATM. They must go to the bank, wait in line and Grt a withdrawal or make a deposit!
Ok dream job I Interior Desinger. Well that is what i have a bachelors degree in and worked in the field for 2 years till the market tanked and I got let go. It was really my dream job but the hours and pay sucked but I still loved it!
Hmm grandma says karo syrup in a bottle for trouble pooping. Haven't tried it .
Dream job would be to run a total health women's clinic with alternative services. Think MDs plus traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture, nutrition, herbal remedies, plus therapists, massage, etc. I went to all of those things while ttc and it would have been great if they had 1, been in one location and 2. Treated me together for my issues. Since I'm a high school English teacher, that probably isn't going to happen...
My grandma keeps her cell phone off at all times.
Ugh. Elijah started whimpering and his eyes were open, so I put his binkie back in and rocked his rnp. After 10 minutes he was wide awake and starting to fuss, so I got up to make his bottle and go pee. He was asleep by the time I came back, but now I'm wide awake. Turd.
I'm completely unrealistic. My dream as a child was to be Miss America. My dream as a teenager was to be a sugar baby and have a sugar daddy to dote on me for life. My dream now is to be the person who writes the descriptions for PPV porn for cable/satellite companies. It has nothing whatsoever to do with actually wanting to watch it and everything to do with wordplay. We have Xfinity and my mother and I have great fun reading the porn titles and their info and laughing our azzes off. I want to know whose job that is and how I can get it.
My father refuses to learn how to cook food properly in the microwave. For instance, while reheating leftover Chinese food, he dumps it in a non-microwave-safe bowl and nukes it for a few minutes, then curses loudly when the food is still cold in the middle and the bowl is too hot to touch. We try to help, but he refuses our advice because he's too angry.
My dad has the basics computer knowledge but that's about it. My granddad had his own garden and refused to buy veggies. Which inspires me when we have a yard big enough to have my own garden but till then a potted garden will do
What's your dream job? If you're lucky enough to have your dream job, is it what you always thought you'd end up being?
My dream job is a SAHM... No joke. Coming in close second would be a pediatrician... But that was just too much schooling. Coming in third is a teacher... Which I'm in school for now.
Tell me one thing your grandparents or parents if they're older/your grandparents have passed do that's "old school." Or something they refuse how to learn how to do. Baby related or not!
My mom always says she won't do things that are more modern... But somehow I always convince her too. My grandma is in her late 70s but has an iPhone and owns a bar in PA so there's not really much she won't do... Lol
My dream job would be a SAHM. Since I can't be that, I really do have the job I love. I teach fifth grade and I can't imagine anything else. I did want to be an accountant for a while, but I didn't enjoy that.
My parents won't learn how to bill pay on the computer. So, when they go on vacation, I have to pay all their bills. I hate writing checks and paying bills by hand and I have to do this a couple times a year!
Oh yes, the rockettes were as well a huge deal for most of the girls I was on dance team with. Only one of them sucessfully made it. Good to hear there's another dancer on the board!
My dream job would be to have a dress shop where I would do custom designs for clients. I freelance costume design as well as being a SAHM so I'm pretty close to living the dream!
My parents are both in their early fifties and have iPhones so they are pretty with it. My maternal grandfather told me yesterday that he refuses to use a cell phone because it does too many extra things. Both of my grandmas use technology...to varying degrees of success.
My parents pay bills by mail. I don't take it to that extreme but I hate auto pay and only use it for things like student loans that get me interest rate reductions for using it.
