Double Stroller Advice Needed

Hi All,

We are expecting our second little one in February and have a 2 1/2 year old that loves the stroller.  Looking for a double stroller (that my husband can do some light jogging with) that can have an infant seat adapter and then a belly bar for my 2 1/2 year old.  We loved the Baby Jogger, but you have to use the same set up on both sides.

Thanks for your help in advance!

  • We have the Baby Jogger City Select.  It allows you to add seats, so you can have the infant carrier attachment and the regular seat for your toddler, then when you're baby gets bigger you can have 2 regular seats.  It kind of stacks the kids, so they're not side by side.  It's not a 3-wheel jogger, but the front wheels do lock in place so you can jog and it has jogger wheels.

I have this stroller and I LOVE it.  I would never run/jog with it.  I guess a slow jog on a flat surface like a track might be fine, but not with a young infant.   If you are uncertain I would cal Baby Jogger and ask them about it.  Perhaps the newer versions have more of a jogging suspension.

  • The BOB Dutaille would be your best bet.  The City Select is NOT a jogger and is not even possible really.

  • I am in a similar situation. DD will be 3 when LO arrives. I considered skipping a double, but she's been wanting her stroller when we go out to street festivals or the zoo, etc. She's small for her age also. Trying to choose between city select, uppababy vista and ritax bready. I figure shell only be in the seat until age 4 or so? Then maybe use a buggy board? Any advice on this is appreciated!

The City Select would be a good choice because you can add a full seat to the stroller.  The b-ready seat is smaller and closer to the ground.  Plus the wheels on the back are super huge and wide.

  • Thanks all of your advice.  Thinking that we should go with the Bob. I would love the City Select, but concerned about the price. $700 is a little steep for us for a stroller.
