So, I do this helicopter thing with my lips to my baby all the time because it makes her smile insanely big. I've been doing it since she started smiling, so around 1 month. Well, yesterday she started to do it too. How is that possible? She does it JUST like I do it. I googled mimicking and it says between 612 months. She's been doing the helicopter lips all day, even when I don't do it. I'm kind of afraid I taught her a bad habit, like she thinks it's a way to communicate or something. Crap, I hope it's not a big deal. At the same time it's hilarious and cute!
Re: No way..
DD mimics ours often too
Except she can't do the helicopter thing, so she makes this funny 'btthhzzthz' type noise instead. It's really cute!
I'm sure that eventually she'll figure out that it's just a silly noise. I wouldn't worry about her communicating quite yet!
