Dragon Ball Z?

Can someone school me, please?  DD will be 5 next month and she loves Power Rangers Samurai.  She always chooses it when she gets TV time, and gets PRS books at the library.  She plays it, her  birthday will be PRS.  She does well, and doesn't play inappropriately (fighting)- I  am fine with  it. My only problem with it is the commercials!

 BUT now she's asking me to watch Dragon Ball Z.  Anyone able to give me a rundown- how does it compare to PR?  Are the characters nice?  Language ok?  Is it scary?  Violence?

My DH LOVES Dragon Ball Z, but I don't let my DS(4) watch it. It is pretty violent. However, the episodes vary. I would personally stick with PR, but if she really wants to watch it I would look up some episodes on the Internet and make a decision for yourself. Some episodes can be a little intense. It really depends what you are comfortable exposing DD to. My DS can be overly rambunctious and definitely a boy... with my luck he'd be trying to blow things up and have nightmares.

Yeah, I figured.  I'm not thrilled about the power rangers, even, but that is clingy mama not wanting my babies to realize that bad guys exist quite yet. I think we'll pass for now.  Thanks!
