I seem to struggle a lot with what I can safely feed baby that is a good finger food (what she can feed herself), healthy, and I am especially worried she gets enough protein everyday. Thoughts?
That's a blog I did about finger foods, I hope you find it helpful. As far as the protein goes, we've been giving him small chunks of low sodium deli meat (got it at Super Target). He also loves eggs and I always give him some meat if I make some for dinner. GL!

My DD would eat bananas, cheese, and Cheerios all day if I let her. I give her diced avocado, several types of fruit, peas, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, cottage cheese, plain yogurt mixed with some kind of fruit, bread/toast, chicken, turkey...and that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

We give him just about everything but cut it small and make sure it's soft.
Pasta, chicken, deli meat, broccoli, green beans, carrots, eggs, cheese, yogurt, ham, cheerios, peas, toast with peanut butter or cream cheese, puffs, bananas, apples, blueberries, cantelope, rice, butter beans, pinto beans, oranges, sweet potato, baked potato, tomato, cucumber, ground beef, and fish (tilapia and salmon).
I'm sure he's had other things. He really loves to eat. I'm scared to death of choking so I just make sure I cook things really well and cut them small but not too small so they're easy to pick up.
I agree with everyone else on lots of fruits and veggies. These days though, there's really not much my son won't eat!
For protein, cheese is good. I usually give him a little meat if we have some with dinner, too. Another great way to get some extra protein in is with Greek yogurt. I know it's not a finger food, but mine loves it and it has that protein!
We do all (relatively) healthy finger foods. There are lots of good protein options you can include.
A typical breakfast for him includes either yogurt, cottage cheese, egg, or cheese (and then whatever fruit we have handy). Today I scrambled some eggs with salsa and cheese and put that on top of leftover sopes I had made for his birthday last week.
Lunches are sandwiches, pasta with cheese and/or chicken, stews, leftover steak/pork/chicken from the night before. Yesterday he had some Southwestern Quinoa with black beans.
Dinners he eats what we eat, so proteins vary from meats to tofu to beans. Tonight we're having collard greens with pancetta and some cornbread.
