Rate your baby gate

We'll be looking at baby gates in the next few weeks to prep before LO begins to crawl and I'm looking for reviews! 

 

What do you like about yours/dislike about yours?

 

Also, for those with pets (we have one cat), how do you handle this? I imagine my cat can just jump over the gate if he wants to get somewhere...but? I know they have gates with holes for pets, but am not sure that is necessary for us. Interested in what others do.

Are you looking for one at the top of stairs or the bottom of stairs or just dividing rooms?  That makes a difference.

I like our kidco top of stairs gate. It took a week or so to get it adjusted just right, but now it works great! It doesn't swing out over the stairs, there is no bottom rail to trip on, it is hard mounted onto the wall, and your cat might be able to get through the slats; our Labrador cannot. ;
