Squeaky glider WWYD?

Our glider has been squeaking for the past month and it's officially driving me crazy. Lubricant only lasts so long before it starts to squeak again.

It's Delta brand from Target. I'm not sure what I should do. Try to exchange it after 9 months of use? My only concern there is that I'd be getting another glider that will eventually start to squeak again.

Would you buy a brand new glider at this point? We do have the money to buy a new one but we are in the process of buying a house so the money could be used elsewhere.

At this point nap time and bedtime literally makes me angry because I can't rock DS to sleep. I can't even MOVE in the chair or it will squeak.

Contact the manufacturer if you can. They will probably replace it for you. I have to do the same for our stroller, since it won't fold up anymore, after only 8 months!

I would try all other avenues before purchasing a brand new glider ... seems like such a waste!  

Like pp said ... try the company that made it, first.  Perhaps tightening all the bolts/screws? Then try different lubricants?  I'm not very handy so ...

However, our glider is pretty essential for us, so if it makes you really angry, maybe try a consignment sale or Craigslist before paying full price.

When ours starts to squeak, I tighten the screws and that seems to help - is that an option for you?

I too suggest WD40 and tightening the screws.  If that doesn't fix the problem, yep, contact the manufacturer first, before just buying a new one.  I have a "lazy boy" rocker recliner.  It squeaks, but I just find it to be part of our rocking routine, lol.  It's not TERRIBLE or I'm sure I'd be seeking other avenues as well.
