DS can't settle on a formula. He started out with Gerber gentle and he was super constipated..no karo syrup or miralax could pass and he was gassy. Then we tried enfamil ar which was awesome with spit up..no so good with the pooping and gas..he cried for hours. Now we are on Gerber soy..still spits up half his feedings and is always constipated. I've tried cutting down feedings..burping frequently..he still spits up a lot and sometimes it just flies everywhere. Any ideas?

Have you talked to the doc? You might want to try Similac. When I started my first son on formula it took me awhile to find one that worked for now. Now with my second I went right to the one that worked for my first.

May have reflux issues. Is he screaming with feedings or is it just the poo issues? Something to keep in mind it takes at least a wk, sometimes 2 to see a difference with a formula. Also, soy is thinner than other formulas and the more sensitive the formula the thinner it gets. I would set up an appt to see your doc and if it continues maybe even a gi specialist. It dep on if he is screaming and crying like crazy during feedings. Also if the spitting up is hurting him. If it's not maybe you just need to find the right formula. Which enfamil were you using? There is one that has rice cereal in it. But when you have a thicker formula youre gonna have thicker poo.. When he is constipated use some vaseline and stick the rectal therm in his rectum. It stimulates something and gets things moving. Let me know if you have any quest!

I think I am just paranoid because my DD never spit up. He doesn't seem to be in pain. He gains weight good and I did do the formulas for a week and a half. I guess my concern is the constant constipation..I don't wanna keep giving him miralax per Dr. I also feel that half an eating is spit up is a lot? Though he doesn't do it all at once..
