My LO sleeps in his RnP by our bed. He has done this since day one and we have a pretty good bedtime routine established. I have attempted the bassinett a few times but he does not sleep well and hates being flat. He also reflux and I can tell that he is much more comfortable at an incline. In fact, the only time that he ever spewed spit up was after sleeping flat. I am ok with him sleeping in the RnP for as long as he needs to... if we are all sleeping at night then who cares? My SO is concerned that he will "never sleep flat".... has anyone had this issue? Reflux is an issue in his family and our LO will probably always have to sleep inclined, when he is big enough I can just put a pillow under his crib sheet to prop him up. Just wondering if Im setting him up for sleep issues or to leave it alone.... Honestly its annoying for someone who does NOT get up at 3am to feed him to critique how I get the child to sleep!
Re: sleeping in the RnP
Girl, I am in your same boat!!!! Except mine is 5 months old tomorrow. She still sleeps in the RnP. I love that thing bc she goes right to sleep!!! I just recently posted about this problem except now my LO is rolling over and can barely fit in the thing. We have a crib for her and everything. I put in her in the pnp one night. She slept 3 hours then the reflux starting getting bad and she was wiggly and kept waking up and her nose was soooo stuffy!!!
Keep putting your lo in the rock n play. He has plenty of time. And it travels GREAT! My hope is that in another month or so she is going to be a lot better as far as the reflux goes and we will be able to put her in the crib. I have tried the wedge but she rolls over and moves around too much. She wouldnt be inclined properly for it to work.
So I totally understand your issue. We have ours on max prevacid daily and mylanta when needed. Plus she has milk intolerance so we have her on special formula, too. Post again if you fig out something that works!!!!! THX!
