Stomach Wraps

How soon after your CSection did you start to wear a stomach wrap?

Re: Stomach Wraps

  • My OB actually ordered a binder for me, but I haven't put it on yet. I'm 11 days PP and my stomach looks pretty good (I'm in my pre-PG clothing already), so I don't think I need it.

I know people who wear it in the hospital and others who don't wear it until they get home.

  • I never used one.  I didn't feel uncomfortable enough to try one.

  • They gave me one while I was in the hospital.  It really helped with getting out of bed. I used it for probably a week and a half and then I didn't need it anymore.

  • I wasn't able to wear mine until about 2 weeks PP because I ordered a belly bandit in a too-small size.   I did like it and didn't find it uncomfortable.. it really helped me keep my posture, etc, but I wish I had been able to wear it sooner.  I hope to save up some money this time around to buy the next size up and then transition down to my small size after a few weeks :)

  • If you're talking about the abdominal binder, I only wore my for about the first 2 and a half weeks after my c-section. That was mainly to help me get in and out of bed. After that I didn't wear it anymore.
  • I used a belly bandit once I got home (tried it at hospital and was too uncomfortable.  I loved my results and will definitely buy one again.
  • My wife left the hospital with a wrap that the doctor gave her. She just traded in that wrap for the belly bandit.

  • I tried the Belly Bandit but I really didn't like it. I thought it was uncomfortable and only wore it for a couple hours.

  • I wear the one the hospital gives.  It really helps when getting up and around.

  • I wore the binder they gave me in the hosiptal... it was a life saver and really helped me feel "put together" I only wore it for a day or two more when I got home because at that point it wasn't comfortable anymore. My Dr also told me to only wear it as much as I honestly thought I needed to, the longer you wear it the less your stomach muscles have to work on their own, therefore taking longer to get your core strength back.
