What did your babies sleep in if they roomed with you and Dh when they first came home? We were thinking of having bassinets in our bedroom and cribs in theirs. We'd also liketo have something available for them downstairs in the den. A PnP maybe? However, we've heardgood things about having swings, bouncers and RnP's for them. So not sure if RnPs mightbe best thing to get for our room and then move them downstairs? My main issue with thatis that we would constantly be moving the darn things up and down. Thoughts? P.s sorry for all of the questions lately, it's just that there is so much baby stuffout there and it can be so overwhelming. DH and I appreciate all of the feedback speciallysince i had to miss my first MoM club meeting last month due to having a cerclage put in.TIA!
Re: At home sleeping arrangements
Did they sleep in the same PnP at night?

Here we go again...IVF 3 is underway!
Don't plan on moving something up and down. Get two sets of RnPs or something different for upstairs.
We planned on them sleeping in our room for the first few months, but we ended up splitting the night into two five-hour shifts instead - one of us would sleep in the bedroom alone while the other person was "on" in the living room or nursery, caring for the babies and grabbing naps when possible. Each of us having one solid five-hour block of sleep really saved us in the early months.
RnPs are awesome for twins, it's so convenient to be able to rock one with a foot while caring for the other one. Personally I would recommend two sets of those - they're comparatively cheap - but that's all ours ever slept in until we moved to the crib, so I'm biased
BFP #2 1/22/2012 ~ DS2 & DD ~ BIRTHday 9/13/2012 ~ unplanned C-section @ 38w1d
We borrowed a co-sleeper and bassinet for our master bedroom upstairs. We also had a RNP up there and I originally planned to rotate them through all 3 things so that they would sleep anywere. Well, after about 7 nights @ home, neither of us were ever sleeping. So, then we started taking shifts and whomever was on "baby duty" slept on the downstairs couch (or really didn't sleep for the 1st 6 weeks) and the babies slept in RNP's, swing or even a bouncer. Around 6-7 wks, we moved their RNP's to their nursery and they slept in those for about 2-3 weeks in their nursery (well the person on duty slept in a guest bedroom). Then, they transitioned to their crib and FINALLY started sleeping 5hrs/night when they were about 9 weeks old.
Now, they mostly sleep in their cribs, but I did recently set up a PNP in a guest room for naps (or if my Dd wakes up at 4am and I move her to the PNP so she doesn't wake up DS). I'm still struggling with daytime naps-they usually only sleep 35 minutes. I think this is helping them from waking each other up.

Our guys ended up sleeping in bouncy chairs for the fist couple of months. We discovered that it worked and stuck with it - we think the boys had some minor reflux and being upright helped. If I had it to do over again I would probably have RnPs upstairs and the bouncy chairs downstairs. We hauled the chairs up and down, and it got to be a pain.
They were in our room until about three months, when we moved them to the nursery.
Our babies are still in our room in their RnPs. I know I need to move them to their room. I'm just not ready. I think I'll start trying soon though.
