Bottle feeding question

When I feed DD, she will sometimes straighten her whole body and rear her head back and scream. Does anybody else's baby do this? I'm wondering if I should ask the pedi.

Re: Bottle feeding question

  • Sounds like she might have gas. Have you tried some gas drops to see if maybe she stops that? Trial and error, this parenting thing... lol

  • This can be a symptom of reflux... I would note anything baby is doing and let your pediatrician know.
  • Either gas or reflux. Try putting a probiotic in the bottle for a few days to a week. If it doesn't help talk to pedi about reflux.
  • Thanks, ladies! After not being able to feed her since 11:00, I called ped, they said to bring her in, and doc said to try gripe water and if that doesn't work to change the formula to teh anti-gassy kind and if that doesn't work in a week to bring her back in. Thanks for your help!

  • gripe water did NOTHING for my son... We have him on enfamil gentlease and it seems to have helped with his gas! Also, there's a thing called Colic Calm. You should try it! :) You can buy it at walgreens or CVS. It's $20 a bottle but seriously has worked better than gas drops or any other kind of gripe water! Google it and read about it!
