What to wear on first day?

I am starting a new job on Monday.  I'm an attorney and the office I am going to work in is business casual.   My soon-to-be supervisor told me at the interview that she rarely wears suits, but will for certain meetings.  It isn't a law firm and when I was there for the interview most women had dark bottoms (skirts and pants) and nice blouses.  The men were wearing button downs and khakis. So what do you think I should wear? 

Suit?  Pants and blazer?  Skirt and cardigan?  Professional looking dress?

I vote for a skirt and a cardigan...you'll look great, but not overdressed!  Good luck!

I've noticed at my work the attorneys always seem to be dressed up a bit more than all of the other professionals. I wouldn't wear a suit but a blazer, blouse, and pants might be perfect.

better to overdress than underdress. i'd go with either with business atire as you suggested minus the suit.
