For those of you who read Happiest Baby on the Block and try the shushing, I don't know if you're like me but after a few minutes I'm either drooling or my mouth is dry, and Chloe takes a minimum of 5 minutes of shushing to go down.
So, iphone users... or ipod touch owners.... or people who have small devices that use apps! Download the 'Sleepmaker' rain app (it's free) put it on 'heavy torrential downpour' and adjust the volume... it will go for 45 minutes. I popped her into her RnP, put my old iphone (which I don't use myself any more) onto that app, tucked it in the back pocket of the RnP behind her head, voila! She was out in under 2 minutes!
Magic... pure magic.

Chloe's eyes start to droop right away but as soon as I go to take breath she perks back up. Mommy has lungs darling, she needs to get some air...
Ha! Oliver's do too. And our rooms are upstairs, so if I have to walk up there I'm breathing all hard and can't shush properly. Ha. He looks at me like I'm crazy.
I try to shush but I start to get rhythmic with it (i'll start shushing to the beat of a song) and just get distracted, lol.. plus I don't think it works on my LO.
