Anyone get creeped out by baby monitors?

I know that I have probably watched too many movies but sometimes I get the creepies about our baby monitor, like what if we hear some strange supernatural through some white noise on it or what if we see some supernatural figure walking.... it didn't help that I was watching that 666 Park Avenue show this week either.

DH loves those creepy movies... We were watching paranormal activity and pots and pans fell out of the kitchen cupboards at one of the scariest parts!  scared the crap out of me!

We don't use a monitor yet because of the layout of our house and the fact that DD is usually with us.

Gotta love Halloween time. I absolutely hate scary movies and yes I get the creeps from my baby monitor too. It's only because one of the mommys on this board posted something about hearing a shhing noise on their monitor and ever since then I've been freaked.

Lol and this is why I will NOT watch scary movies, I get creeped out for a long time

EVERY SINGLE NIGHT when I turn the monitor on I get scared out that I'm going to hear something supernatural. I thought I was the only one! I get creeped out easily though, I saw a scary movie commercial last night and had to fall asleep with TV Land on so I didn't think about it.

DH swears he heard footsteps the other night in the monitor. I think he is crazy. He is a huge ghost fan and watches all those ghost hunting shows. I don't particularly know if I believe in any of that stuff. However, there are some weird noises that come through there at 3a.m. I am just able to think it is weird old house noises or something outside.

The first day I turned on the baby monitor I heard voices and DH thought I was nuts. It totally freaked me out until I also heard a baby crying that wasn't mine and realised it was our neighbors! We live in town so the houses are close together and apparently her daughters room is on our side of their house. We had a good laugh about it and agreed she'd use channel "A" and we'd use "B" to avoid interference. lol

Dwinalsin... those footsteps noises would freak me out!

Zoeygirl.... yeah the night mode is freaky.  LOs eyes look super dark and all bugged out, very freaky.

Kgauntt.... the shhhing noise would scare me as well because it is so close to white noise sound that I would probably stay awake trying to decipher the two.

Sweetsugar.... what scary movie commercial did you see?  Glad that TV Land got your mind off, I have to do that sometimes too..... watch something completely opposite.

Sometimes at night I will just stare at DS on the monitor for a few minutes and watch his chest rise and fall while he sleeps, and I always have that thought in the back of my mind about something else showing up on the screen or some strange noise coming across the monitor overnight...me and mt wildly overactive imagination...

We've never had a monitor, but I know I'd be creeped out by it too. I'm another one that gets super creeped out easily and can't watch scary movies anymore becuase they haunt me for a long time. I have to keep sitcome re-runs on when I'm alone at night to avoid freaking the eff out.

We have a video monitor and it looks JUST like Paranormal Activity or whatever that scary movie was.

I have thought, "What if I see something creepy on the screen?" before too!

I've not seen the movie, but I see "things" flying around all the time on my Summer model baby monitor. I came on here just now to see if anyone experiences the same thing and came across this post.

Anyone else see anything on theirs?

I have a Summer Infant monitor and I don't see anything flying.... what exactly do you see?????? 

ETA: but then again, our monitor is completely facing the bed only.....good thing it doesn't face the room.
