Which would be preferable: bringing a 17 month old to your dentist appointment before work or a 10.5 hour day in daycare?

I'm leaning toward the former, but the staff might hate me.

Found out DH has a work conflict and can't bring her in at her usual time.

How are you going to care for your 17 month old when they are working on your teeth?

It is not the staff's responsibility to be babysitters.

Daycare without a doubt. Our average is 10 hours a day in DC anyways.

Daycare. I'm doing the exact thing on Monday. Ds will be much better off there than getting into everything at the dentist.

Yeah, no, I wouldn't expect anyone to babysit. I was picturing her sitting in her stroller with her sippy or her breakfast. I've taken her before when she was an infant.

Obviously that might be equally crazy! You know how you have that mental block/mommy guilt once you reach your "typical" number of hours? That's probably what's happening here.

It's one day. She will be fine for 10.5 hours. DS was there for that long today because of work.

100% daycare- if DD ends up freaking out, there is no way you'll be able to get your dental work done. Even if she's being super good, she'll probably have way more fun at DC.
