Pregnant after a Loss

question from lurker

Hope you ladies don't mind me asking a question...(this is sort of a repost from m/c board).

If you wouldn't mind sharing with me...IF you had your hcg levels tracked, I would like to know at what week you m/c, what procedures may have been done, and what your hcg levels were as they were tracked.

I know everyone and every experience is different, but I find comfort in hearing others experiences and comparing to my own.

 Thank you!

Re: question from lurker

  • I don't know my levels when I MC, but I was 12 weeks when they found out baby didn't have a heartbeat. I had 2 DCs and at around 7 weeks post my Level was at 5.

  • I'm so sorry for your loss. The Miscarriage board was a great help to me in the weeks and months after mine this past spring.

The day of my D&C my HCG was 24,000-something in the eleventh week. Two days later it was at 3,000-something. At my follow up appointment two weeks after my D&C, my doctor had me do a urine pregnancy test in the office. Since it came back negative, she declared that I was under 5 and didn't need to have blood drawn.

So according to my doctor's declaration that I was finished, mine took two weeks.

I hope you don't have to wait too long, I know that the wait can feel long and very emotional. *hug*
