Pregnant after 35

Is 5 weeks too early for pregnancy brain?

I am thinking it may be more to do with the exhaustion from lack of sleep. I cannot get comfortable at night, so I've not been sleeping well. Plus the frequent peeing doesn't help.

I just passed a certification test I needed for work despite my brain running on fumes and I was all set to congratulate myself on the achievement, when I got home to make myself a snack and discovered my sunglasses in the fridge. (It's been overcast and raining for the past 4 days straight, by the way.)

*sigh* One step forward, one step back. LOL

  • Short answer? It's never too early for pregnancy brain. Stick out tongue Sunglasses in the fridge? That's classic!

I would pay a lot of money to sleep through the night. It might happen in 20 months or so...

  • I don't see why it wouldn't be possible at 5 weeks!  I never really had pregnancy brain with DD, but mom brain has really been a problem LOL.

  • Sunglasses in the fridge?!  That's too funny.  The only thing I've missplaced so far are my car keys.  Luckily I found them on the hallway console or I would have been late to work.  I hope pregnancy brain is temporary!

  • At least the brain was in the right place at the right time. Hopefully this is just a first tri thing for you. I'd been relatively good up until the last few weeks. Now DD's been keeping track of my phone in the morning, since I have a tendency of putting it down in the process of getting her something.

This is so how my phone is going to end up in the fridge. Since I don't have any other kids, this will be the result of me putting down my phone to get myself something.

  • I've already lost my car keys and my medical insurance card and I'm only at 4 weeks!
