Pregnant after a Loss

Anyone had sudden bleeding and been ok?

I was so sure we were losing this baby too last night when I had bad cramps all afternoon then had a gush of bright red blood.

 There was quite a bit of blood when I wiped and then just a bit of spotting for a few hours after when I wiped.

Now nothing. Didn't need a pad or tampon and it seems to have gone.

 What could this be? And has anyone else had this and been fine?

 I am just so scared of losing this baby too.

  • Yes, it is possible to have what you describe and still be pregnant.  I had two bright red bleeding episodes with this pregnancy (the second one threw some clots in just for fun).  Turns out I had an SCH.  Call your OB and tell them what happened.  If I were you, I would ask for an u/s if they don't offer one.

     I'm sorry you are going through this and hope that everything is ok.  ((hugs))

  • I dont consider myself a success case by any means, but I did have red spotting last night. I went in for an u/s this morning and everything looked good and my cervix was nice and closed. So far so good!

    He's my fairytale, a dream when I'm not sleeping.

  • I had unexplained bright red bleeding from 5-6 weeks off and on.  I'm still here :)  It has happened to a lot of ladies on here that have turned out ok.  It could be an SCH, implantation bleeding which can go up to 6+ weeks, or some other reason.

    Don't give up hope- call your OB and ask for an ultrasound to ease your mind.

  • Red bleeding is very common with subcchorionic hematomas, which while scary,  normally clear up on their own fairly quickly.  While mine is being stubborn and not going anywhere apparently, I did have a massive bright red hemorrhaging incident that landed me in the hospital 5 weeks ago.  I am still here, and baby is doing wonderfully (and measuring ahead).  Try not to freak out, but do get in to see someone as soon as you can so that you can find out what is going on. {{HUG}}

  • I don't have any personal experience but I know many women have. I would for sure call your doctor and make an appt. They can hopefully ease your fears. T&P's that everything is just fine. Sorry you are going through this scare.

  • Just as PP's have stated, I have read plenty of stories that included bright red blood and still resulted in THB's.  I am keeping my FX for you... Please keep us posted!
