Just curious if anyone has already completely weaned there lo from a bottle before a year old. If so, when did you start? Can you share how you achieved that? My half sister had her son off bottles at 9 months so I'm just wondering. Thanks!
DS isn't completely weaned by any mesns but I started by mixing whole milk with formula at 10 months. 1 oz for a few days to watch for allergies. Then another oz for a couple days. I substitute these ounces of milk for formula sonhe is still taking in the same amount. Now he takes just milk in his sippy with his lunch at 10.5 months. I imagine you could try that? I didn't have any guidance, his doctor just said "yeah go ahead and try it with however much milk you want".

My son transferred into the "older baby" room at 11 months. The provider in that room prefers them to be off bottle (although of the 4, I think only 2 of the boys are off bottle).
We thought that would be a good transition - new room, new straw cups instead of bottles. He already got water in a straw cup and drank really well from that, so we just put his milk in the straw cups (and gave the provider an empty bottle, just in case.)
The first day, she gave him his straw cup and he fussed a bit since his friends had bottles. According to her she told him "we're a big boy now, and we don't use bottles" and he settled down and drank his milk.
The second day, he wasn't drinking from his straw cups, so she gave him a bottle.
The third day, and every day since, he's been exclusively drinking from the straw cup.
My older one had a bottle till she was 2. She loved it and it was comforting. I don't really understand the whole rush to get babies off a bottle. If you want to do it, go for it but please please don't stress about it. People get wacky about it. My sister was obsessed with her first- got rid of the bottle at exactly one and he had a really hard time. Her second dropped it on her own at 2.
