Anyone know the answer to this

My friend and I had a disagreement well, not really sine I disagreed but did not bother arguing where she said that my son's Kindergarten teacher would know my son had EI for speech. But sine the speech is done through contractors through the county and never went through the school and he tested out of services long before 3 there was never a transition I do not see how the public school could possibly know, am I missing something?

I don't think the teacher would know unless someone told her.  Its not like private EI agencies send out all of their records to public schools without your permission.

  • I agree with Auntie that a teacher wouldn't know if your son had had EI services/an IFSP unless someone told her and I'm not sure why they would need to notify a teacher unless the child still required services and was going to be transfering to an IEP.
