We have a 6 4 yr old boys that we told tonight about the new baby. They are typical boys and were like " cool that sounds good.". My 6 yr old was sweet though and asked if while I am growing the baby they should be taking care of me. Tomorrow is our nt scan and we are all excited to get a look at this little guy or girl!

Awww, your 6 year-old is so sweet! So does this mean you decided to take the boys with you to the scan?

Yeah we did. My six yr old is so excited and wants to bring pictures to school right away. I know it might seem weird but I want them to really feel a part of things.

I think this makes perfect sense. We didn't actually bring our 4 year old until the scan I had at 18 weeks so she was there when we found out the gender, but she was already hearing some details about the growing baby. It really sunk in for her when she could actually say "I'm going to have a baby brother!" which she did apparently to everyone at school later that day.

How far along are you?  How did you tell them?  I am almost 12 weeks but we haven't told anyone yet.  We have 5  & 6 year old boys that have been asking me to have a baby for 2 years, lol!  Of course they want twin girls so they can each have one, LOL!!!  We we are not having twins so they will just have to fight over 1 baby.  We haven't decided when to tell them but we will tell them before anyone else and let them share the news with everyone else.  I had a miscarriage last year at almost 3 months and I am so happy we handn't told them yet!  I think we will wait a bit longer just to be safe.
