Options other than a tummy tuck?

Anybody ever research options other than a TT, baby weight is long gone  but this skin is so depressing. TIA!

Re: Options other than a tummy tuck?

  • Loving yourself and recognizing that you are more than a flat tummy. 3 c/s later, baby weight gone, I love myself just the way I am and feel beautiful in my skin knowing I'm a good mother.

I go to the gym daily and am noticing 19 mos later that things are improving each week.

It's never going to be perfect, but try to get past it. :)

hydration and body scrubs/exfoliation is what helped me after my first c-section.  I also had to focus super hard on the exercises I was doing for my hips, lower back, and abs...that helped to firm up the skin I had around my tummy area as well.

Now that I am preggers again, I rub my belly, back, and sides with a concoction of castor oil, jojoba oil, and coco butter to keep my skin soft and elastic for afterwards when I am losing the baby weight, my skin will not sag as much.

  • I carried twins full term and my abdominal muscles are still seperated, even 2 years later. The doctor told me reconstructive surgery is the only fix but it isn't even a definite since the muscles are damaged. I'm otherwise active and a runner so I try and keep everything else really toned, then I don't feel as self conscious.

Call it the best battle wound you will ever have. Don't worry, I'm always told I see it worse than it is :-)
