2 month shots

How does everyone feel about vaccinating their little ones? Ethan got his shots today and has been super fussy. Anyone else get their two months yet? Next time I may spread out the shots because of the reaction - fussy and not wanting to eat so far. Does anyone feel shots cause autism?  Just curious on everyone's opinions.

Re: 2 month shots

  • I just get them done as recommended and accept that those will probably be crappys days/nights. Mine goes for her 2 month shots Monday. I expect to go to work Tuesday on no sleep.

And no to autism. I don't believe they cause that. The guy who wrote that study lost his medical license.

  • No I don't think vaccines cause autism. I think that's ridiculous. DS is getting his when recommended.

There was just a topic about this a few days ago, and it turned into a debate.

  • IMO There is a good reason for the schedule of vaccines. What really is the point in spreading them out? so the kid can have a negative reaction to EVERY visit you have to the pedi?

Shots aren't fun, but they are a part of life. Those days baby just deserves extra love, and give you the perfect excuse for it.

  • Tristan had his 2 month shots almost a month ago. He was completely normal afterwards, no fussiness and no fever.

Vaccines don't cause autism and we will be vaccinating using the normal recommended schedule.

  • Logan just had his 2 month check up today and we decided to get 3 out of the 5 (rotavirus, DTaP, and HIB). We are getting the other 2 next checkup including his second Hep B. I was apprehensive bc my brother has Aspergers and my mom swears its from the shots. For me, I just want the best for my son but am being cautious. He will be getting all the mandatory vaccines but split. He is also getting them withoutThymirosol (preservative that was linked to Autism). The way I see it is, there is always going to be blame on any disorder/disability/disease so just do your own research and do what you feel is best for your child. :)
  • We will be vaccinating as recommended. I will read all the information for each vaccine so I know what to expect just in case, but she will get all the shots she needs.

I don't think vaccines cause Autism - I believe there are other factors that cause it, but the health pros haven't pin-pointed it yet.

  • DD had hers yesterday and was fussy but not terrible. She slept a lot and ended up sleeping 6 hours last night, and today she was back to normal.

Our ped was able to use combination shots, so instead of 7 or so only had to give 3. So hopefully that's an option.
