1-package reg. oreo's
1-real cream cheese ( not low fat)
1-pack almond ( white) bark ( cut into med. chunks)
Crush all oreo's ( I use a food prosseser) mix in cream cheese ( a little at a time ) Then roll in to 1" balls. Put on a cookie sheet the in the freezer. Heat the almond bark on low-med heat. I add some shortening to thin it out some then I drizzle it over the oreo balls. Put in freezer or frigde for an hour or til ready to eat.

These sound SO good.
My BFP Chart~
Totally not how I do it
Here's my recipe:
Ingredients
1 pkg. (1 lb., 2 oz.) OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, divided
1 pkg. (8 oz.) Cream Cheese, softened
2 pkg. (8 oz. each) Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, melted
Directions
1) CRUSH 9 of the cookies to fine crumbs in food processor; reserve for later use. (Cookies can also be finely crushed in a resealable plastic bag using a rolling pin.)
2) Crush remaining 36 cookies to fine crumbs; place in medium bowl.
3) Add cream cheese; mix until well blended.
4) Roll cookie mixture into 42 balls, about 1-inch in diameter.
5) Melt the chocolate and cool it in the fridge until the pot is cool to the touch. DIP balls in chocolate; place on wax paper-covered baking sheet.
6) Sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs.
7) REFRIGERATE until firm, about 1 hour. Store leftover truffles, covered, in refrigerator.
I love them! I will not send them out! You must make the yourself. Then share with everyone!
My mouth is watering just thinking of them yumm!
I use the LF!
These are the messiest thing I have EVER made. Maybe putting them in the freezer before coating would help... I might try again. I refused to do it last year but DH loves them.
You don't dip the balls in the almond bark? The recipe I was given had you dipping/rolling/coat the balls in the bark covering them completely. That added to the mess factor.
they are pretty messy- even using the freezer method. i've made them enough where i have a system now- but the first time...good Lord. there was chocolate everywhere!
you can use LF CC but everyone knows the fatty stuff is better
also you can experiment with oreos- mint, peanut butter, the vanilla ones with white chocolate- the list going on & on.
also i use the double stuff oreos- so much better that way!

tbird!! MINT OREOS!!! OMG I never even THOUGHT of that!!
Now I'm trying them again FOR SURE this year!! ::drools::
p.s. you can use cake mix & cream cheese icing & make red velvet truffles, lemon truffles, etc.
And I have a recipe for pumpkin truffles.
I have put them in the almond bark but like you said it's messy. Or I just spoon the chocolate/ almond bark over the tops. If I spoon it over I put them on a wire rack. That is why I just drizzle it. I'm lazy & I want to eat them.
Also I use reg. cream cheese, Since Fat makes everything so much better!
I can not wait to make this for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Along with hard candy and peanut butter balls! YUMMMY
