My sister in law is expecting triplet girls...its just unbelievable and we are so excited for the big addition to the family! She's seriously already buying EVERYTHING though and says she is only going to register for diapers and bottles. And trust me, her and my BIL are pretty, well, dingy and that's probably all they will register for. I mean honestly, they registered for 36 towels for their wedding and that wasn't in error. haha Anyway, I have some questions...
? Really though, I do know she is going to need a ton of diapers. Any suggestions as to what size diapers? A little of everything? Or should we go for the bigger sizes versus smaller? We were also thinking about getting them wipes since "one size fits all"!
? And then, what are some things she might not think she'll need but really will? I don't want to get her just diapers. I'd love to buy her clothes but I know she's got bags and bags already.
Just looking for some other ideas. Thanks ladies!!!

You're not going to believe this...she isn't due until JANUARY!!!!!!!!
By the way, your kids are darling. Love the little one to the right. That's be me! haha ;-)
I am thinking that this might be her way of dealing with this. She has little control over much in her life right now and getting prepared is likely whats getting her through.
If you want to do something nice for her hire her a cleaning lady. Or make a commitment to bring her meals each week. As a MoM the best gifts were time. I had the ability to buy stuff but I needed help!
Totally get that and I think you're exactly right. What a great idea too!! We don't live in the same town...we're about two hours away. But the food idea is great. Could maybe send her Shwan's?? Her husband doesn't cook and obviously she is going to be beat. Great idea, thank you for the suggestion!
It sounds like your SIL is very similary to me in some aspects. My due date is the end of March, but we're expecting our LOs in February. I have already purchased cribs, carseats, bouncy seats, and clothes. I want to be prepared in case they arrive much earlier. As for gift items, I guess I feel guilty expecting others to purchase larger items for us, so that's why we got those ourselves. My registery is mostly cloth diapers, since I'd love help with that expense and it also has a few items like first aid/grooming kit, bath seats when they're bigger, diaper bag and an Ergo.
I agree with PPs, that if she has the major items, gifts cards to BRU and/or Target would be great because it allows her to pick up what she still needs. I think gift cards to local restaurants/pizza places would be excellent too because if her H doesn't cook they may be relying on take out for a while. You could also prepare several freezer meals and bring them to her the next time you visit.
