So I'm feeling some pressure from my mom and Pedi to move LO into his crib.... he sleeps in his own room in his RnP and he has been STTN for 3 weeks now (9p-7:30a) Which is amazing!! I have mixed feelings about it, I know that I should because RnP's aren't great for flat heads, and he'll eventually have to go in his crib anyway.... but at the same time, he sleeps sooooo well in the RnP and he just recently developed Reflux and some days are pretty good and others are really bad.
Ugh.... I just don't know what to do! I'm home all week from work so I feel like it is better to transition when I don't have to work, ya know? But then I think, "I also have off the first week of November, so I'll do it then when he's a little bit older..."
hahaha I'm starting to think I'll never do it! I want to try, but I'm so hesitant at the same time.

Re: To move him or not to move him... that is the question!
Slow and steady wins the race. When I decided to transition DD to sleeping without being held, we went from one nap a day in the crib to every time she sleeps. It was a slow process with lots of "set-backs" until she got used to it. Now she sleeps her best in the crib, which kinda sucks because we use the play-pen for visits with friends and those naps are now difficult - It's all a learning process.
Rolling a towel to prop up the mattress in the crib should help with the reflux.
This.
We started Aria out in her crib, so we didn't have the transition issue... but from what I have gathered from other posters' comments, the earlier you do it the easier it will be.
Good luck with whatever you choose to do!
