How many words? Sentences? Phrases?
I know my son has always been a bit quiet, not really talking until later. I've kept track of how many words he's saying (about 120) but he doesn't really put them together quite yet, except for the occasional "Shoes Mama", "I sowwwy Mama", and "Up Mama!"
Its still early so I'm not too worried, just curious.
Re: What should a 2yo be saying?
That sounds right. I don't keep track of how many words ds says (it got to be too many) but I know it is over 100. He says the basic two word sentences and has said a couple three word sentences.
He does have a couple of friends that talk in complete sentences though (that are the same age if not a few weeks younger than him). They all develop there vocab at different paces.
Our pedi said that as long as they are consistently saying new words and have at least a few two word sentences, they are right on track.
