Sydney's angelversary

Hello ladies-

     As a lot of you know Sunday the 30th was our DD's angelversary. The day started out honestly pretty sad for me I cried most of the morning. Then my immediate family and I went to a local park and had a picnic. It was beautiful t here DH wrote Sydney's name in the sand and as he was 2 butterflies were flying above them.

We came home and all had dinner and to my surprise some friends and family had candles outside of our house lined up on the sidewalk and  as I walked out with Sydney's ashes they let lanterns go in the sky for my baby girl. I thought we were just letting some balloons go but they all surprised me with the lanterns and all of the love. I feel very blessed and I was  so happy everyone remembered our Sydney. We finished off the night by watching a DVD made by DH's cousin (they did our wedding video) the DVD had pictures and songs I chose for Sydney. It was sad but very beautifully done.

I miss my baby so much !

I just wanted to let you ladies know how well the day went even with all of my sadness it was a wonderful day to honor my baby girl.

DS- Brenden born 11/13/93 Missed miscarriage on March 6, 2007 @ 9 weeks D&C on March 8th 2007. Riley Annalise born 2/25/08 ( 3 weeks early weighing 8 lbs 12.8 oz.) Chemical pregnancy 3/2010.     That was so sweet of them to do! I'm also planning on having a picnic on monday with my immediate family! (If the weather cooperates!) I am so glad Sydney's angelversary was better than expected. It gives me hope monday won't be as horrible as I keep thinking. Thank you for sharing Sydney's day with us!

    I'm sure it was a hard day, but it sounds like you did lots of beautiful things to honor Sydney.  Big (((HUGS))).

    What an amazing support group you have!!  Sounds like a great way to remember you precious baby girl!

    I'm glad you were able to spend the day in a way you felt honored Sydney. The candles outside your house were amazing; I saw the photo on fb. How sweet and wonderful of people to do that.

    Oh Heather,  this is just beautiful.  It sounds like you were able to honor Sydney in such a lovely way.  I'm sure it was so very sad, but there was a lot of love too.
