I am also taking non-family names as suggestions for a middle name
We are really having a hard time for a middle name. Our last name rhymes with "Gray". So it would be Noelle ____ "Gray". We usually use a family name, but seems to be limited on prettiness. My first daughter has my first name as a middle..... Here is a list of some family names (and some are really hickish because we are from the plains of Texas):
Hope - is a family option
Barbara Beatrice - my mom
Tina Faye - my grandmother
Anna Lou - my grandmother
Bessie Lee - my great grandmother
Emma Ermine - my great grandmother
Lilly May - my great grandmother
Allie Beatrice - my great grandmother
Emma and Anna are great names, but I really dont feel they fit with Noelle... Noelle Anna, Noelle Emma. I just cant imagine screaming that up the stairs when they are teens, it doesn't just roll off the tongue smoothly...
May and Faye rhyme with our last name, so thats a big NO.....Ermine and Bessie are just..ick...
My mom is heavily pushing for Noelle Beatrice....
Do any of these names work with Noelle? Any of them? This is all from my side. We feel since our babies have my husbands last name, the middle names should come from my family's side....
Re: Help pick a family middle name for Noelle: List included
We are open to not using a family name if yall can think of a good one. I know, these are just awful.
My husband is dead set on using Noelle as a first name, and calling her that. He goes by his middle name and hates it. Also, my daughters name is Charlotte Elizabeth (after me) so Elizabeth is out...

I am a fan of Noelle Beatrice. Only if you like it though, not because you feel obligated! Honoring family is a nice gesture, but not the most important thing to consider IMO.
ETA what about Katharine, Alexandra or Amelia for MNs?
I actually don't mind Noelle Ermine, but maybe I am pronouncing it wrong. I am pronouncing it like the coat/animal with an -een sound rather than a hard -INE.
Noelle Beatrice/x (I think it still honors the person if you freshen it up with a more modern -x ending.)
Noelle Barbara (I just like Barbara a lot)
If you are open to some variant on Tina I like:
Noelle Constantina
Noelle Augustina
Noelle Christina
ETA: The more I think about two generations already having Beatrice in the name, the more I like the idea of Noelle Beatrix.

If it helps, I used to nanny for a little girl with the MN Lily and a very similar FN to Noelle, and her parents and I had to frequently use her full name. It flowed very easily off the tongue! haha
I love Noelle and it pairs really well with Charlotte. Instead of feeling obligated to use a family name that I don't love, I would choose a non-family name. What about:
Noelle Caroline
Noelle Camilla
Noelle Katherine or Noelle Kate
Noelle Audrey
Noelle Claire
Noelle Carys
Noelle Margaret
Noelle Lauren
Noelle Louise
Noelle Juliet
Noelle Evelyn
Noelle Olivia
I would choose Noelle Beatrice of the family names - I think it's cute. Some other suggestions would be ... Noelle Alexandra, Noelle Genevieve, Noelle Felicity, Noelle Claire, Noelle Scarlett, Noelle Violet, Noelle Olivia ...
Love Noelle - great choice!
I agree with Noelle Hope. I also think it matters how you pronounce Beatrice. I know some ladies with the name who pronounce it as Be At Ris while others pronounce it Be A trice. If that makes sense.
Hope is my middle name. It was always planned if we had another daughter we would use it, as our first daughter has my first name as her middle. But I wondered if it sounded too harsh next to our very short, one syllable last name...
Noelle Hope "Gray" ?
Noellle Beatrice "Gray" ?
My mom says Beatrice is pronounced Be A trice....
While I like the Be A trice pronunciation better with Noelle, I still prefer Hope even with the short last name. Maybe yell both versions around the house for a day or so and see which feels better? I did that for a while with our boy name.

I actually like Noelle Allie, but I pronounce it more like "Noelle Ali" with the emphasis on the second syllable as opposed to the first.
I love Beatrice as a stand alone FN so immediately I go there.
With family names, I believe you should use a name of a person you have some special relationship or reason to use. Were you closer to one of these ladies than another?
DD2's middle name is Kathleen after my friend who passed not soon after I found out I was PG w/her. It was my way of remembering and honoring her.
With this PG, if we have a boy, he's middle name will be Joseph for both my dad and my late fil (His MN was Joseph) and if it's a girl, we have a roundabout way of honoring my late FIL with the first name choice.
