At this point, Mom's front-runner for a baby boy is Evan. The problem? My only other child is Ethan. Personally, while a little cutesy, the two together don't bother me. Tell me, am I being blinded by my love for Evan? You think we could really pull off Ethan and Evan without a comment every time we introduce our boys?

About me 2007: Started TTC. 2008: OB prescribed clomid, went to RE and was Dx with PCOS. 2009: IUI #1 w/follitsim and trigger = BFP. B/G Twins born at 33 weeks. 2012: TTC #3, Round 2 of Letrozole w/TI = BFP, missed m/c at 8 1/2 wks. Currently on the bench as we make plans for a new home. Anxious to start TTC #3 within the next year!
All of this. I personally would not do it but, I would not side eye someone who did.
I think both names are great names but I do think they're too similar.
Not because of any "weirdness" but for purely practical reasons. I think you'd be up for a lifetime of you being tongue tied, and the boys not responding to you and saying, "oh i thought you called for Evan/Ethan"

Too close. What about Gavin?
Thanks for the feedback! I do love the name, and I can't seem to come with anything that I like near as much. DH said yes to the name, so we will have to see come May! It may be moot as we are still Team Green!
And for the record, I constantly call my own son Andrew (which is nothing like Ethan, but is the name of his cousin!). Also, my FIL always calls my son Evan, which is the name of a childhood friend, which would be pretty confusing if we threw an Evan into the mix!
Same here.
