XP- too big for crib!

It looks like Ash may be too big for his crib. He is an active sleeper and got himself wedged sideways 3x last night and I had to go rescue him. Unfortunately though he is not ready for a toddler bed. He is too active (I worry about him falling out) and I have no doubt there is no way he will stay in bed short of me holding him in it. Any suggestions?

    You may want to try the toddler bed. Em moves like crazy in her crib all might long, but at DC she does fine sleeping on her cot. I was very worried, but she slopes fine like a "normal" sleeper on the cot. Maybe they can tell the difference. Maybe you can put the mattress on the floor first before doing all the work changing the crib to test it. Good luck!
