Chicco Keyfit carseat HELP!

Please tell me I'm not just an idiot, I haven't had any problems with this carseat before!  I went to loosen the straps on the seat obviously by holding down the orange button on the front and pulling on the straps as always.  However, this time they simply didn't move.  I also tried to tighten them by pulling on the strap thinking maybe they just looked tight and actually were not.  However, they wouldn't tighten, either.  Has anyone had this problem before?  What do I do? I obviously can't leave until I get this fixed and Google didn't come up with any real answers that I found.  Help, please!!!

not sure whats the deal - however did you try pulling on the shoulder part of the  straps while holding down the orange tab? Wiggling it a bit? That usually loosens it up alot for us, then we're able to readjust. But sounds like somethings caught somewhere.

I personally never had that happen before... sorry not much help.

I've never had any issues. I'd try to unhook and redo the straps.

Also, make sure when you tighten the straps you pull on the chest part. It bunches up there.

Turn the seat over and check the back where the straps are to make sure there aren't any problems.

I've had to pull the straps in the back to get them to tighten and loosen.
