My OB for DD1 is not VBAC friendly, so I just had my 1st appt with an OB who on the hospital/practices webpage lists VBAC as a procedure that is done. She said there is no way she would do a VBAC and doesn't know anyone at this hospital or in town that does. We live in the deep south, and are a bit behind the times in things but really, no one? I am a little devastated, I was really hoping that I could at least keep VBAC an option. But I guess now I can deal with the disappointment for the next 30 weeks and prepare for a RCS.
Re: Can't find a VBAC friendly OB in town!
Can you find an ICAN group near you? They would be your best bet.
Would you consider a midwife? are birth centers an option?
Can you call L&D at each of the local hospitals to ask if anyone does vbac?
See if you can find any with this link:

Are you willing to travel? Could you drive an hour or more to a friendly doctor? Can you find any doulas in your area? They usually have a good idea as to how VBAC-friendly local doctors are.
You have a right to VBAC - does your doctor know this? Does she know that ACOG recommends VBAC as a valid option? Here's a link to your rights:

Are you comfortable with home birth? That would be another option.
Hope it works out for you!

The women above gave you some great resources so definitely use them!
Look into midwives for sure and see if that is option for you. OBs are not the only people who can deliver babies at hospitals, although check your hospital policy as not all allow midwives and check you insurance.
Do not be afraid to travel if though. Many women end up traveling to find VBAC friendly doctors/hospitals. I found a VBAC doctor near me but if she doesn't pan out I will be traveling an hour south.
I was in the same position as you, absolutely NO doctors/hospital in my town were VBAC friendly..... however this was highly important to me, so I researched and found a doctor that would allow me to try for a VBAC.... it's a pain, but I travel 4 hours to my doctor. I have family in the town he is in, so I'm able to stay with them for appointments, and have the option to stay a few weeks before my due date as well. it's not as easy as just down the road to the hospital here, but it's my priority to have a VBAC this time around, so far things are looking good!!! Just wanted to give you my $0.02.
good luck in your search!
