Size 1 diapers

I'm trying to figure out if we need to move up to size twos. Baby girl is almost 13 lbs but very long.she will be 12 weeks tomorrow. About once every other day she we will leak when she poops. I don't know if we need to make them tighter or just get the next size up? We overlap the sticky straps. She's pretty skinny. When did y'all move up?

    We haven't made the change yet.  We have packages of size 2 from one of my showers.  I tried one on DS a little over a week ago.  It was too big around the legs, so we're sticking to size 1 for now.  I plan on trying a size 2 diaper again sometime later this week.

    A lot of times it's less to do with the size and more to do with the fit of that brand. Have you tried another brand to see if they fit better?

    We went to 2's about a week ago (11 lbs) for overnight. We are just using up the 1's that we have right now and then we'll go completely to the 2's.

    IMO, we never ever hit the "recommended" weight for the diapers. If it says "13-18 lbs" we switched at 11 lbs. If it says "19-25 lbs" we switched at 16 lbs, etc.

    Ok! Thank y'all. We are using pampers swaddlers but I will try huggies tonight and see what happens! I'm sick of washing poopy clothes

    stop posting here!!! I moved Lilah up to twos today because we've been having accident. the tabs go all the way around her waist lol, but not accident. i packed her 1s today

    Im about to move up to size 3.  My DS is almost 13 lbs and his size 1 tend to leak when he poops.  I

    We haven't made the move to 2s yet because DD is very petite (only 11 1/2 pounds at 2.5 months), but we did have to move up from NB to 1s because she's such a heavy wetter. I my experience, with nieces and nephews, when they start leaking with a diaper that used to not leak it's time for the next size.

    we are in size 2 and we changed when they started leaving marks on her legs, however we were ok on the waist part.  My daughter is going to be 3 months tomorrow

    i had the same problem with leaking, but my daughter was about 10.5 lbs. she would always leak at night if there was too much in her diaper. They are a little big but she no longer leaks in the size 2s
