When did you schedule your C section?

Like at what point in your pregnancy? Im 9 weeks and just wondering. I have 2 children who were born vaginally so I've never had experience with this. This baby is going to be a planned C section.

 Also, how far along were you when you were sectioned?

Since most c-sections are medically necessary, it isn't until 2nd or 3rd trimester typically. The c-section usually occurs on or around week 39 (they don't want you to go into labor on your own).

I scheduled mine at my 28wk apt for 39wks. It was perfect b/c it gave me plenty of time to think of questions.

around 23-24 weeks. I have a pretty busy doc office so i wanted to make sure I got on the books with a good time

I scheduled mine at my 18 week appt.  It's set for 39 weeks.

My first OB scheduled mine around 12-13 weeks.  My OB for my third scheduled that c/s about halfway through my pregnancy.

1st: 39w4d

2nd:  38w6d

3rd: scheduled for 38w6d, bumped up to 38w2d

Im having a medically indicated C section. I just knew from go that this baby would be a c section. I was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm last October and my neurologist wants me to be safe and just have a c section. Eventhough I most likely had it when I pushed my other two out. Im ok with the C section just was wondering when they might schedule it. I'd like it on a Friday, first thing and Ill be 39 weeks on a Friday. Im going to ask at my appt October 10th when I can schedule it. Thanks ladies!

Mine is medically necessary, I just knew from the beginning rather than it be for something like baby being breech or whatever. I would never elect a c section since my vaginal births were just fine.

This baby is a repeat c/s (tomorrow) so we've known since my first appt that it would be a c/s.  My doc won't schedule them until 24-28w, and the office only does c/s on Tuesdays & Thursdays, so it had to be one of those days in the 39th week.  I hit 39w today, and chose tomorrow rather than Thursday as my date for a variety of reasons.

I've known since before I was pregnant that I would need to deliver via c-section because of medical necessity.  But, even knowing that, I didn't schedule mine until my third trimester.  My c-section will be done when I'm 39 weeks.

I'm an OB nurse and in my hospital we don't schedule CS until 39 weeks, unless there is a medical necessity.

beginning of 3rd tri it was scheduled for 39 wks.  DS had other plans and came at 37 wks (still a RCS)

I was able to schedule mine at 28 weeks but waited a few more weeks because I had just moved and wanted to meet all the doctors at my practice before I chose which one would do the surgery.  It was scheduled for 39w2d but my water broke a few days earlier and I had my RCS with a different OB.

This.  I'm not sure how early my dr office would have 'allowed' me schedule it.  I made the decision at 28w to RCS instead of VBAC and as soon I as I made that decision I asked to schedule the c/s.  I will be 39w1d on our scheduled day.

I scheduled mine around 25 weeks. I had prior surgery to my uterus, so they don't want me going into labor because my uterus could rupture. I knew even before I got pregnant that I would have to have a c-section. My Ob said to schedule it between 37 and 38 weeks to make sure I don't go into labor. I scheduled it for 38 weeks. You might no be able to pick a specific date though, in the end it's gonna be based on your doctor's schedule. My ob was only on call at the hospital one day the week in question, so that was my only option.
