So tonight my H's goo guy friend came over. At 11:30 he asked if they could go out for a drink. We have a place very close by where we have 1/2 prices apps etc. He asked if I had cash and all I had was 50. But we are on a tight budget. I asked him not to spend more then 20. I do the budgeting he just came home and informed me he went to the casino and lost the while 50 along with the 5 in his wallet too. This is a lot of money to me. With that 35 I could have bought so many things.
I know that living on a budget while I'm not working is not always easy. But we managed a small trip away for him this summer with his family. I'm just super disappointed and upset. But he is making me feel like I shouldn't feel like it is such a big deal. Bah what a lame thing to wake up to at 1:30am.

A few months ago my hubby upgraded his cell phone just because his contract was up for renewal, even though we really didn't have the money for the new phone. It seems that whenever we don't have the money for something he does it anyway. And then when I need pants that fit besides sweat pants, I can't get them. Or I do and then feel super guilty about it. Hubby sets the budget here, but somehow I'm the one trying to hold him accountable for his spending!
I would suggest talking to your hubby but I haven't found the guts to talk to mine yet!
My jaw just dropped. How irresponsible! However, don't let that affect YOU. Make sure that $35 he spent is taken away from something of his--like selling some of his stuff or cutting the cable if he likes watching TV. Some guys just don't understand the concept of budgets!
