He's not napping much, we're down to ten hours, maybe ten a half a night straight, 6:30/7 to 5/5:30am and I know that's good as some babies don't STTN yet. But now he's waking from gas during the night will only be soothed by milk... i know, counterintuitive, but he hysterical cries orherwise..and we cut out milk at night back in month four w/o problems! Even then, it takes a while for him to put himself back to sleep while normally for naps bed time he'll have no problem.
Anyone else have a baby w lots of gas and GI issues? He's on Zantac for reflux, but still doesn't take long naps largely because he poops so much the poops wake him up. It used to be the acid too. He poops seven times a day many days! Anyone else have a baby with that much poop? He still eats a lot: 28 oz milk per day three solid meals, about 12/13 oz total. Is that more than typical?
I know I just need to go to bed earlier, but even then, when he yelps from gas in the night, it wakes me up. Poor guy.
Shifting his bed time to later has also been not so successful even though we really have diligently, slowly, tried. So a 5:30am wake up is good for us as It used to be 5am. And we can't put him right back down after the feed bc of his reflux.
So with him only getting 12 1/2 total hours sleep a day both he and I and Daddy are pretty tired. Anyone else with LO's who don't sleep much?
Believe it or not, though, he's a very happy baby in wake time!
We're hoping his GI system will develop more in the next few months handle processing foods better. But it feels like a long stretch... I'm starting to feel really exhausted...
