How many of you are taking a class geared towards newborn care, breast feeding, etc? I feel like I have a pretty good idea but was thinking it would be helpful for DH.
I'm so early, but my OB brought this up to us. I will take an infant CPR class and breast feeding class. I'm not really interested in others. My mom raised 5 children and will stay with us for first few weeks after bay is born. She is all the info I'll need
I took the two day child birth class, a breastfeeding class and a baby care basics. I was a nanny in college for two families, both with infants when I started....I still feel like I got a lot from the classes and MH definitely learned alot!

The class I'm taking has a range of information from labour prep, breastfeeding and some newborn care. For DH and myself we are information gathers. We figure more can't hurt, you don't have to use it. But there is always a chance of some amazing nugget you wouldn't have found out before. And my DH doesn't have a lot of experience with babies so he'll actually need the information lol.

childbirth/lamaze, breastfeeding, infant cpr, and baby basics. DH is coming with me to all of them. We also considered taking the introducing baby to pets class but I heard it was mostly for dog owners and I need tips on my kitties!
We are taking the first class next weekend (I will be almost 30 weeks) and our last class is mid-November. They suggested to me to try and get them all in about a month before your due date. Good luck trying to decide which ones to take, I was surprised how many there were!

I figure once it gets much closer to my EDD, DH and I will do our local hospital's childbirth/infant care class and I figured I'd do the breastfeeding class. Like one of the PP's said, we are information gatherers so it'll soothe my OCD'ness to take the classes I think.
