NBR - Easy haircuts?

Hi ladies -

Just curious what you all went with as an easy hair-do now that we have such little time. I'm going to the salon next week, and need some ideas...

My hair is pretty long, and really want to chop it off.. but I don't want to regret it. I've had a bob before, and enjoyed it though.

Anyone have input? Let me know your style, routine, time, etc.. Thanks!

I've actually always found long hair to be easier.  It's just so easy to throw in a ponytail or a bun without a lot of fuss.  Maybe it's because I have wavy hair, but I find a bob to be more work.  My hair just doesn't look great short unless I take the time to blow dry and style it. I've been tempted to chop mine lately, too, but I'm resisting because I think I'll regret it.

I don't have any advice, but I just wanted to say I'm extremely jealous. It's a huge point of contention between my husband and I in regards to me cutting my hair more than an inch.

I know, I was scared my hubby would say no - but he surprisingly said he didn't care what I did.. I'll probably just get a trim. I think I just want a more dramatic cut to feel spontaneous! lol

I have found longer hair to be easier too. Once it gets past a certain point, however, it's more work again. It has to be long enough to pull pack. Mine is a few inches past my shoulder and I get it layered so that it's lighter on my head. (I have very thick hair.)  I always chop it off when I'm feeling brave, but then I remember that with shorter hair, I have to blow it dry and style it, or it looks ridiculous. (on me anyway.)

I'm currently in the process of growing out a pixie cut and while it was fun while I had it (about a year, well maintained) It was also a huge pain. It meant trips to the hair dresser every 3 weeks or else it became a scraggly mess.  My hair was definitely more manageable when it was long enough to put in a pony tail or bun.  Plus it didn't get greasy so fast so I could get away with only washing it once every 3-4 days.

I had long hair, but cut it 2 years ago.  I have it in a chin-length bob with really short, stacked layers in the back.  I love it and think it is much less work than longer hair.  No, you can't pull it back, but I have it so short that it doesn't matter too much.  It is also really easy to dry and style.

When I can find the time to get to the salon, I'm thinking of a bob with bangs,

I just want the majority of this hair gone!!!

I got mine cut to my shoulders. For me it was just getting in the way and I got sick of spending so much time with the hair dryer. I don't regret it!

Thanks for the tips, ladies! It's nice to see I'm not the only one who wants to chop off my long hair.

Yes, I was thinking a longer bob too - that way I can try to pin it back - or a short one like PP said, so I don't really have to do much at all - plus, it would look like I cared! I feel like I look sloppy too.. just a ponytail or messy bun 24/7.. ugh, just sick of it! I want it gone too
