I am the same way, which sucks, because I am so very tired. I can't seem to get comfortable at all. My doctor took me off my sleeping pills and said to take 50mg of Bennadryl instead. I slept well, but it made me feel very ill, so I'm just going to have to figure it out I think. If you tolerate Bennadryl well, you could try it?

For some reason Benadryl has always made me jittery. I am looking into prenatal yoga classes and also a homeopathic brand (Hylands Calme Forte).... We will see . I heard lavendar oil can be soothing and relaxing. I am hitting up Whole Foods tomorrow. It is worth a try!
I don't have any suggestions, but I'm experiencing a very odd sleep disturbance - I'm waking up every morning around 4:40 and I can't go back to sleep. I don't understand the odd time. And it started the day before I got my positive test.

I haven't been sleeping well, but I think it's more because I've been coughing up a lung, so hopefully once this cough gets better, I'll be able to sleep again! I did take a 2.5 hour nap this afternoon; that was nice!

I had horrible insomnia the week before I found out I was pregnant through Wednesday of this week. I think I am finally so exhausted I am sleeping...even Unisom was not putting me out...it's awful.
I've always had trouble sleeping but it's only falling asleep that I have a problem with.
They say to establish a bedtime routine and that should help. Easier said then done though I know.
I like essential oils and having a bath or shower and try to use lavender bubble bath or the night time line from bath and body. Bath and body also carries sleep time candles that I absolutely love!
Hope this helps!
I am also having the weird sleep pattern thing! I wake up betwen 4:00-4:45am and then don't fall asleep until 6 or shortly after and then I have to get up at 6:20. It's terrible. This started a few days before I got my BFP and stopped last night. I slept until 6 today!!! I was so excited.
I don't think I did anything different. Perhaps my body finally realized how exhausted I was, haha.

Yep. I have this exact same problem and had it with my first pregnancy too. It's terrible.
I have had trouble sleeping since just before the BFP. I actually rejoiced yesterday when I slept for almost 4 hours. I keep waking up at 4 or so. I slept most of the night last night and I did yoga yesterday so maybe it helped. Still awake at 4 tho! GL to everyone!
YES!! From day 1. I get insomnia issues during my period and ovulation, too, so I think it's hormone related. I also have so much going on, I have lots on my mind. But yes, I have wicked insomnia. Soooo annoying. I find a warm bath before bed has been helping. Also, my DH has been giving me a back and neck massage when it's really bad. I think it relaxes me, and helps.

me too, me too! I wake up every 1-2 hours and can't seem to stay in bed for more than 6 hours. From everything I read it's pretty common due to hormonal changes.
Glad to hear I am not the only one! I hope we can all get some good sleep this weekend! Thank goodness I was able to sleep in today! Going to check out Whole Foods today or tomorrow so I will let you ladie know if I try the homeopathic stuff.
I have been waking up between 4-5 every night and it takes an hour or more to fall back to sleep! It started the same night I got a positive test. Happy to hear I am not alone! I have been trying to take a bath before bed. I am too worried to take meds. It took us 13 months to get pregnant and I am so worried to lose the baby that I will not take anything.
