Sad and feeling defeated

It's only been a month and a few weeks of school and my son has only had one, possibly two, full weeks of a normal school schedule due to illness, holidays, and testing. His behavior has improved, but is still not where it needs to be. I feel like they are expecting way too much from him and it makes me sad. I just received his interim report today and they are saying he is below grade level in reading. They are trying all sorts of things and documenting everything, but the behaviorist refused to come to the school until after a full month of school. I feel like we've wasted precious time. On top of everything else, I'm finding that he really needs a lot of guidance throughout his day to stay focused AND really needs to get back into OT. I need to fight for my child, yet again, but I am at a loss as to what to do or ask for besides the obvious. Thanks for letting me vent.
