Gen Y covers?

A few months ago I picked up a few XS Gen Y covers on sale intending to use them in the newborn stage. I got them and they looked big and I checked the website and they say XS fits 8-15 lbs so I'm worried if I have a smaller baby they will be too big. Anyone used a Gen Y cover before?  Is the XS small enough for newborn or should I plan on getting some other newborn covers?

I always think it is good to have a variety. I like proraps NB bc it has an umbilical cord dip, I also like Thirsties Duo, Bummis are good, and I am going to be checking out Swaddlebees Capri with number two.
